I am a solid earth geophysicist interested in the dynamics of the lithosphere and the mantle. I work on how deep mantle flow interacts with the lithosphere causing surface deformation. My group at the Computational Geodynamics lab in IISc are using numerical models to quantify this interaction and addressing some of the outstanding questions about the solid Earth. We work on a range of problems that include dynamics of complex deformation, geoid anomalies, stability of cratons, intraplate earthquakes, role of LLSVPs in convective circulation of the mantle.
